JOYCE LIGON
We are happy to welcome Joyce Ligon to our family. She is a native of Kokomo, Indiana, and is passionate about Jesus and evangelism. Joyce says, “God is putting unity on my heart. I think he wants to use the music to bring the Hip-Hop generation together. Joyce was introduced to Fusion Radio while attending a concert at Crossover Com. Church in Tampa, FL. She stated, “I’ve always wanted to work for a radio station, and Holy Hip-Hop is one of my favorite music genres.”
Joyce now resides in Elkhart and is a member of Living Faith Fellowship. She is also interning with WLFQ-LP and learning how to operate an outreach radio station. While with us, she will also be working on leadership skills that will benefit her in reaching those who are in the Hip-Hop culture.
A decade ago, you all embraced a messed up, hurting girl. During the first year that we were a part of Living Faith, I don’t think that I’d be exaggerating to say that I remember receiving ministry every time we walked through the doors of the church – and that was like three times a week! We were recently married and I was without even a high school diploma. My heart was to serve God, but I didn’t really now how to; I didn’t even know how to balance my check book!
During those years, God used so many of you to touch my life very deeply. And as I still continue to wrestle with the dealings of God in my life, and at times become discouraged, God has gently reminded me of all of the work that He has done faithfully in my life over the years, and that He will complete this work.
I want to remind and thank you all for the care and oversight that you have shown me and to encourage you that your faithful work has not gone unnoticed. Sincere and heartfelt thanks to the many that have been my spiritual fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers. We love you all! -Frances Crum
